Each #SkinBabe will help us share confidence, gain confidence and inspire confidence!

Molly Boudreault is one badass #SkinBabe! I met Molly more than a decade ago when my sister Lauren was a student at Vanderbilt. Molly and Laurni instantly became best friends - which means we did too. Molly is hilarious, compassionate and genuine!

Molly is the Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Injector at Illuminate Plastic Surgery in Palo Alto, California, where she works alongside her husband Dr. David Boudreault. Molly has extensive experience and training in aesthetic medicine. While she is heavily trained in facial rejuvenation treatments using neuromodulators and volumizing dermal fillers, she also knows the latest products and techniques in medical-grade skincare. I'll often text Molly to get the "latest and greatest" skincare products. She's a wealth of knowledge! When Molly's not at the office, you can find her at the park, hiking, biking and playing with her 3.5 year old son, Penn.

Molly is also a cancer survivor. She recently finished her last round of chemotherapy after a shocking breast cancer diagnosis last year.  And, as you can see in the photo below where SHE'S RIDING A MECHANICAL BULL (!!!), Molly battled her cancer diagnosis with a positive attitude and inspired women everywhere with her grace and realness!

Molly shares A LOT of information below for those #SkinBabes that are past the consistency goal and want a more advanced skincare routine. Even if you're not quite on Molly's level and have never been to a plastic surgeon's or derm's office, there's a key takeaway here: SKINCARE IS ALWAYS EVOLVING.

#SkinBabe Molly Boudreault shares her favorite products and procedures with us as a trained Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Injector. Molly's also a huge inspiration for women everywhere battling cancer. Molly continues to be one of the most positive people I know and her infectious personality exudes confidence. Molly reminds all of us to make self-care and self-love a priority, #SkinBabe!

What Does #SkinBabe mean to You?

I know what it’s like to be unhappy with the appearance of my skin.  I know how it affects my mood or my ability to feel confident or sexy.  To me, being a #SkinBabe doesn’t mean having flawless skin all the time.  What it does mean, is being empowered with the tools and the knowledge to treat the most common issues with my skin.

Why Do You Like Skincare, #SkinBabe?

Working in the plastic surgery and aesthetic community, I’ve seen too many men and women who look like they’ve ‘had work done.’ This is not my desired aesthetic or how I'd like for my patients to look. When I treat patients for facial aging, skincare is always part of the conversation.  It’s the best way to naturally improve your appearance and reduce the signs of aging. Everything else (when performed conservatively by a well-trained provider) is a bonus!

What's Your Biggest MUST DO for Your Skin, #SkinBabe?

I’m a huge fan of skin maintenance with collagen boosting treatments.  Two personal favs are the PicoSure Focus and Vivace Experience.  Both treatments create tiny injuries on or below the skin’s surface to stimulate your body to produce collagen. While the results are seen gradually over a period of weeks to months, they can be profound.  I’ve noticed a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles and significant improvement in skin tone and texture among my patients. Both treatments are quick, virtually painless and have little to no downtime which is important for us busy babes!

What's Your Current Face Routine, #SkinBabe?

Everyone who knows me knows that I am a HUGE fan of Jan Marini Skin Research.  It’s the real powerhouse of my skincare routine.  Everything else is just a bonus, in my opinion!

Cleanser (AM/PM) – Jan Marini Bioglycolic facewash.  I apply this cleanser to dry skin and let it sit for 30-60 seconds before washing off with my Clarisonic Mia.  It causes a tingling sensation so you can feel how well it’s working.

Antioxidant Serum (AM/PM) – Jan Marini C-ESTA.  Unlike most Vitamin C products, this should be applied during the day and night.  It smells and feels amazing!

Antiaging Cream (AM/PM) – Jan Marini BioClear Face Cream – The single product I could NOT live without.  It’s combination of glycolic acid, salicylic acid and azelaic acid help to even the tone and texture of the skin, decrease pore size and minimizes redness.  I started using this product five years ago and noticed a significant change in my skin within a few weeks. Can't stop. Won't stop. EVER.

Skin Lightener (AM/PM) – Jan Marini Luminate Face Lotion. A little bit of this goes a long way.  I use about a half of a pump on my entire face.

Moisturizer (AM/PM) – Jan Marini Age Intervention Face Cream. If your skin is on the drier side (like mine) this product is amazing.  I also love SkinMedica HA3.  It's very hydrating and will help with fine lines and wrinkles, too!

Neck Cream (AM/PM) Revision Skincare Nectifirm Advanced. Best at-home treatment for what we call “tech-neck” in Silicon Valley – those pesky horizontal lines around your neck from looking down at your phone too much!

SPF (AM and reapply throughout the day)Marini Physical Protectant SPF 45. I usually apply this while I’m getting ready in the morning.  While I’m out and about, I reapply with the Colorescience Sunforgettable brush, a powder sunscreen.  LOVE this product and it’s one of the easiest ways to get sunscreen on my three year old!

Lashes (PM) - Latisse. I was diagnosed with breast cancer last fall and lost a huge chunk of my eyelashes and eyebrows during chemotherapy.  Latisse was a lifesaver for me.  Here's an industry tip: ditch the brushes that come with product and switch to using an angled eyeliner brush.  Just be sure to frequently clean the brush :-)

What skincare procedures or injectables do you use, #SkinBabe?

My office is like Disneyland for #SkinBabes.  There’s really nothing I haven’t tried.  For wrinkle reduction, I prefer Dysport over Botox.  I like how the effects take place sooner and seem to last a few weeks longer. While I’m a fan of dermal fillers in the right patient, I personally have been using less and am trying to supplement them with collagen enhancing treatments like lasers.  When I need something to unwind, I’ll treat myself to a facial and add on microderm abrasion!

What's a Product You Can't Live Without, #SkinBabe?

Finding a good eye cream is so darn hard, but I am absolutely LOVING the Colorescience Total Eye 3- In – 1 Renewal Therapy.  It’s a newer product that visibly improves the appearance of dark circles, puffiness, fine lines and wrinkles while protecting the skin from sun damage.  My under eye skin looks much more refreshed and hydrated after applying the product.  It’s a bit of a splurge (retails for $69) but is totally worth it in my opinion.

For the occasional pesky pimple, I like using the Peter Thomas Roth Acne-Clear Invisible Dots.  The clear stickers can be applied overtop of acne and can be worn day or night.  I usually purchase mine at Sephora for around $30.

Who's Your Favorite #SkinBabe?

The most badass of all #SkinBabes in my opinion is Olivia Peterson (@Livvy_Land). She’s a medical aesthetician who is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to skincare products and treatments.  She’s the best in the industry in my opinion.

Thanks #SkinBabe, Molly Boudreault! 💋

It's Skincare then Make-up! #SkinBabe Molly Boudreault likes to wear her makeup light and dewy.

One of my favorite lines is Morphe.  I was recently turned on to a few of the products and they've quickly become a staple in my everyday routine.  Their eyeshadow palettes are amazing.  I've also been having a lot of fun with their Bretman Rock Babe in Paradise highlighting palette by Morphe. The Guerlain Lip & Cheek Tint is light creamy when I need a bit of color on my cheeks. I've used the Trish McEvoy High Volume Mascara for years.  It's water resistant and won't smudge or smear which is great in this warmer weather.
