My friends and family know that if I'm at the pool or the beach with them I'll bring my SPF 30, my big-brimmed hat, sunglasses AND I'll request the shade. After growing up basking in the sun and worshiping Helios (#greekmythology), I started to realize when I fell in love with skincare & was on TV with those intense HD cameras that the SUN IS NOT YOUR FRIEND! So, in my 20s, I repacked my pool bag to include all the needed items to keep the sun away.
I'm not a medical professional but it's always good to understand HOW the sun can damage our skin. Ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun is the number-one cause of skin cancer. Here's a good article about sun exposure and our health to encourage all of us to keep the sun at bay!
To get that GLOW without the UV radiation from the sun, I consistently use these tan towels. I LOVE them! I've shared them with family & friends for years and call them "TV Magic" since I'd use them each week to help my skin look brighter while anchoring my newscasts.
